Sommelier
Responsibilities: As a Sommelier, you are responsible for the wine service and wine sales on board. Key duties include:
- Recommending and serving wines to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
- Maintaining and managing the wine cellar inventory, including ordering and restocking.
- Conducting wine tastings, presentations, and wine-related events for guests.
- Collaborating with chefs to develop wine pairings and promote special wine selections.
- Training dining and bar staff on wine knowledge and service standards.
- Handling guest inquiries about wines and providing detailed information about various selections.
- Ensuring that all wine service equipment and storage areas are maintained in excellent condition.
Contract Length: Typically 6-8 months
Working Hours: Approximately 10 hours per day, with shifts covering meal services and wine events.
Rest Periods: 2 months off after the completion of each contract.
General Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to perform job duties.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Two reference letters required.
- Must be able to obtain a USA C1D visa.
