Assistant Waiter
Responsibilities: As an Assistant Waiter, your primary role is to assist in the smooth operation of dining services on the cruise ship. This includes:
- Supporting the lead waiter in taking orders and serving meals and beverages to guests.
- Ensuring the dining area is clean, organized, and set up according to the ship’s standards before and after each meal service.
- Assisting with the preparation of dining rooms for special events or themed evenings.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Addressing guest inquiries and resolving any service-related issues promptly and courteously.
- Engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience, providing recommendations, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Assisting with inventory and restocking of dining supplies and equipment.
Contract Length: Typically 6-8 months
Working Hours: Approximately 10 hours per day, often split into shifts to cover meal services and preparation times.
Rest Periods: 2 months off after the completion of each contract.
General Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to perform job duties.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Two reference letters required.
- Must be able to obtain a USA C1D visa.
